Dimensional Weight: Easy how-to

"Dimensional weight" is the way shipping companies measure packages.  It helps them charge the right amount for shipping, especially for big but light packages.  Here’s how to calculate it: Get Your Package Info:   Make sure you know your package's size (length, width, height) and weight. You can find this info on the package or measure it yourself. Convert Measurements:   If your measurements aren't in inches, change them. Most shipping companies use inches. Find the Package's Volume:   Multiply the length, width, and height to get the volume. Volume = Length x Width x Height. Turn Volume into Cubic Inches:   Some companies like measurements in cubic inches. If your measurements are already in inches, you can skip this step.
